This cartoon is exactly the daily reality for years in Sderot - I know - I lived in Sderot for a total of 8 months in the last two years - I almost was killed by a Kassam missile on May 17th, 2007 (search youtube.com for "near death kassam" for 9 second clip of my near-death experience with a Kassam missile that hit my neighbor's house gravely injuring my neighbor's wife in the shower). That the Jewish people tolerate this daily terror/trauma and death in Sderot is astonishing given the recent nature of the Holocaust. Look at the picture above - that is EXACTLY what is happening (one missile at a time - over 7,000 in last few years!) - every day the 5,000 Sderot children live in fear - and sometimes the fears are realized - a young boy of 8 (Osher Tuito) lost one of his legs and is fighting for his life now (February 2008). His crime: Osher and his older brother were walking across a local park to buy a birthday gift for their father when a Kassam missile hit only two meters away (with no warning siren!).
