One of the musical legends of our time is Chaim Dovid Sarachek who performs his amazing song "Seven Sheperds" which alludes to the great seven tzaddikim of Jewish history (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moshe, Aaron HaKohen, Josef, and King David). Each of these iconic Jewish leaders correspond to a character trait (i.e. the chesed-kindness of Abraham) of the Jewish neshama (soul). Jewish Quarter resident Chaim Dovid Sarachik has been touching the souls of the Jewish world with his music for over 20 years. Originally from South Africa, Chaim David came to Israel at the behest of his rebbe, Rav Shlomo Carlebach z"l and has been continuing Rav Shlomo's legacy of combining music and neshama ever since.
