"Naturalized" - Written and directed by Julia Kots
2006 - (8 minutes) - A Russian immigrant battles his alarmed and bewildered parents over his decision to "modify" his body by having the Jewish ritual circumcision as an adult. Julia Kots emigrated from the former Soviet Union in 1989. Her films have screened on PBS and at dozens of renowned festivals worldwide. She will graduate from Columbia University Film School in May 2008. "Naturalized" appeared in the 2007 New York Jewish Film Festival, presented by The Jewish Museum and the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
