Arava Desert Rapids, Israel - The Arava desert in Southern Israel, along with much of the rest of the country, has been hit by the sort of torrential rainfall that happens once every 30-40 years. As a result of the flash floods, many roads have been closed or uprooted, and impromptu rivers and rapids have appeared.
