For some, Judaism is all about ancient rituals and tradition. Yet as Shuli Rand says, nothing in the world is "static," but flows like musical notes through our existence. Shuli wants to reconnect Jews to their Judaism, as he said in a 2006 interview for Jewish Actionmagazine, and not see so much infighting among brothers. Culture is the key, he believes, to build a much-needed bridge between secular and religious communities.

Bio: Shuli, Born in Bnei Brak to a religious Zionist home parted ways with Orthodoxy at the age of 26 to win acclaim in the theatrical arts. A man of deep convictions and a strong sense of his mission in life, Rand underwent a spiritual transformation after theater life and "everything that went with it," and is now a highly popular musical performer and thinker in Israel.
