It was in August 2005 when myself and thousands of the best people I ever met were forcefully and carelessly removed from our lives and homes in Gush Katif. While I only lived there four months - I ask how long it takes to fall in love? During the hellish 10-hour evacuation bus ride from Neve Dekalim to a hotel room in Ashkelon, I was able to get off the bus for a few minutes prior to our exit from Gush Katif for the last time to take this photo of the final sunset. A sharp orange sunset going down through a barbed wired fence - a powerful symbolism of that horrid day - not just for us - but for the entire Jewish People!
